cmetria — Privacy Policy

In short
- cmetria has no accounts. You never sign up or log in.
- Your projects, measurements, plans, photos, videos, voice notes and notes are stored only on your phone.
- cmetria does not send any data to its own servers and uses no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
- A file (PDF, DXF, project file) leaves your phone only when you share it, through the app you choose.
Permissions and why
| Permission | Purpose | When |
|---|
| Camera | Scanning the room (LiDAR), survey photos and videos | When you start a scan or capture |
| Microphone | Saying measurements aloud, voice notes, video sound | When you turn on the microphone or the voice assistant is on in the measuring screen |
| Speech recognition | Turning spoken measurements and voice notes into text | Same as above |
| Location (while using) | Filling in the project address | Only when you tap "use current location" and on the first scan, once |
- Speech recognition runs on the phone when possible. Otherwise the audio goes to Apple's speech recognition service only to be transcribed (Apple's privacy terms apply). cmetria itself sends it nowhere.
- Location is sent to Apple's map service only to be converted into an address; the address is saved in the project. Your location is not tracked and no history is kept.
- Photo picker: only the photos and videos you pick (including product photos and your company logo) are accessed.
- Quotes: your company details, price list and quotes are stored only on your device; a quote PDF leaves it only when you share it.
Storage and retention
- All data lives in the app's folder on your phone. Deleting the app deletes everything.
- Deleting a project or room also deletes its photos, videos and voice notes.
- "Back up all" creates a .cmetria file; you decide where it is saved.
Children
cmetria is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its date. If accounts or cloud backup are added in the future, this page will be updated beforehand.
